About Me

Bridgett Burris: Hi, I am Bridgett Burris. I am a wife to Mark and mother to my two gifts, Mollie and Bennett. I have been teaching for 4 years. My professional life has always involved children. I got my AS at CSCC. I moved to Knoxville and obtained my BS in Human Ecology with a specilaization in Child Development from UTK. I worked with the mentally ill and foster children as a social worker for several years. I then moved to child care licensing and worked as a counselor with the state. After a bitter sweet decision, I left and became "Mom" fulltime. When my son entered pre-school and my daughter entered kindergarten I decided to go back to school as well. I attended Lee University where I received my add on degree in Education. I am currently in graduate school. This is my calling. God has made each facet of life important so that I will be a better person and a better teacher.

We are a Value Plus School!

Oak Grove received a 5 year Arts grant! We are so excited to integrate visual arts, dance, drama, and music into our core curriculum! We try to plan for at least two integrated arts lessons each week. We may paint, dance, sing, or many other exciting activities. We just do it with arts in mind!!!!
